The 15th-century courtyard of the Castle of the Knights of Malta is the magical setting for this concert in which Angela Hewitt presents and performs with two very talented young pianists of her choosing. Both Carter Johnson (Canada) and William Bracken (UK) are already artists of great integrity and talent, and they will perform major works of several female composers as well as play duets with Angela by Mozart and Gershwin. Angela will perform a piece she commissioned herself from Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin, and will play a work of Canadian composer Ann Southam that she played on her first full recital in Toronto, age 9. It will be an evening of unexpected delights!
