The Oratorio di San Francesco di Nobili in Perugia is a very intimate venue — a jewel of a place, providing the backdrop for what will surely be an unforgettable evening of great piano music. After masterpieces by Bach, Mozart, and the young Beethoven, Angela Hewitt will perform Beethoven’s final piano sonata, his Op. 111, the second (and final) movement of which is a glorious song of thankfulness from the most grateful heart.
